Tarshvee Upadhyay, a Bajrang Dal leader from Madhya Pradesh, has repeatedly made public speeches marked by hate and open calls to violence.

On December 20, 2024, during a Shaurya Divas event organised by the VHP-Bajrang Dal, he delivered a provocative address targeting Muslims.

Referring to them as “illegitimate children of Babur,” Upadhyay celebrated the Babri Masjid’s demolition with pride. “Only four hours of broken barricades were enough to erase five hundred years of their history,” he said, glorifying the act of destruction carried out by Kar Sevaks in Ayodhya.

His speech was not an isolated incident. In June 2023, at another gathering, Upadhyay demanded harsher laws under the Madhya Pradesh Cow Progeny (Protection) Act, 2004.

He pushed for the death penalty or life imprisonment for those accused of cow slaughter. “If someone kills a cow, their house should be bulldozed,” he declared. “Why should our community stay silent? The entire Hindu samaj must rise. We will not forgive cow killers.”

Across these speeches, Upadhyay has fashioned himself as a militant voice of Hindutva in Madhya Pradesh—amplifying calls for bulldozer justice, inciting communal hatred, and promoting extreme vigilantism under the guise of religious protection.
