Tanay Tandon

Affiliation: Independent
Vocation/Title: CEO, Commure Athelas
Categories: Hate Mongers
Location: California

Tanay Tandon, the CEO of Athelas and Commure, has actively engaged in spreading anti-Palestinian misinformation, contributing to the denial and justification of genocide in Gaza. On Instagram, he shared a false claim misidentifying a Palestinian child who lost his leg as journalist Saleh Aljafarawi, further promoting the debunked “Pallywood” conspiracy that dismisses Palestinian suffering as staged.

On July 24, 2024, during an Israeli raid on the Nur Shams refugee camp, 16-year-old Mohammed Zendiq lost his leg. Tandon posted a video of the injured teenager with the caption, “Hamas lies run deep,” baselessly implying that a grievously wounded civilian was part of Hamas propaganda.

Even after his post was exposed as false, Tandon has neither retracted nor apologized. Instead, he continues to engage with and support content that spreads further disinformation, including fabricated claims of beheaded babies and mass rape—myths designed to inflame anti-Palestinian sentiment and undermine calls for a ceasefire.

Tandon maintains a large online presence, including his Twitter account, which has over 2,000 followers. While he later deleted his inflammatory tweets, his engagement with business elites and his polished corporate persona serves as a facade for his deep-seated hatred. Behind his role as a healthcare entrepreneur, he leverages his influence to spread disinformation and uphold the ideological justification for mass civilian deaths.
