Sangram Bapu Bhandare is a far-right spiritual preacher and regular fixture at extremist Hindu rallies across Maharashtra, where he openly incites hate, spreads dangerous conspiracy theories, and calls for targeted violence against religious minorities. Under the guise of religious storytelling, Bhandare has built a violent persona, using public platforms to amplify anti-Muslim sentiment and promote Hindu supremacy.
On April 25, 2025, at a Sakal Hindu Samaj rally in Yeola, Nashik, Bhandare described Muslims as “Pakistani landas,” demanded their economic boycott, and declared they must be “finished.” His speech carried open incitement, claiming Muslims attack the police and must not be spared—statements designed to stoke mob anger and provoke violence.
Earlier, on February 5, 2025, at the Hindu Jan Akrosh Morcha in Beed, Bhandare glorified vigilante lynchings in the name of cow protection, invoking Shivaji as inspiration. “You cut the cow, we will kill you,” he shouted from the stage. This pattern of communal mobilisation and incitement is not new. On May 5, 2024, in Ahmednagar, he delivered a communal speech brimming with Islamophobic and anti-Christian bigotry, promoting hate campaigns around “love jihad” and “land jihad.”
Bhandare continues to be invited as a keynote speaker by hardline Hindu groups, despite repeated complaints against him. On August 28, 2024, he was named as one of the main speakers at a “Hindu Janakrosh Morcha” in Dhotre village, Ahmednagar district, an event flagged by Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) in a preventive complaint to the Maharashtra Police. Along with other habitual offenders like Harshatai Thakur and Yogesh Suryavanshi, Bhandare was set to address a gathering organised by the Sakal Hindu Dalit Samaj, a known affiliate of the larger Hindutva network. CJP warned authorities of the high risk of hate speech, urging them to deny permission to avoid disruption of communal peace.
Through repeated participation in events led by extremist groups like Sakal Hindu Samaj and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, and through his consistent use of slurs, threats, and incitement, Sangram Bapu Bhandare has emerged as a serial instigator of communal hate.
