Affiliation: Hindu Rashtra Sena
Vocation/Title: Karnataka spokesperson, Hindu Rashtra Sena
Categories: Hate Mongers

Sandeep bhai or Sandeep Guruji, the Karnataka spokesperson for the Hindu Rashtra Sena, is a  Hindu supremacist known for spreading hate, inciting violence, and promoting extremist ideology targeting Muslims and other minorities in India. He is a member of the Hindu Rashtra Sena (HRS), an organization that spreads hate and targets minorities. His speeches have incited violence and division, pushing for a Hindu-only India.

In December last year in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, Sandeep targeted Muslims at the launch of a new chapter of the Hindu Rashtra Sena in Madhya Pradesh. During the event, he glorified the demolition of the Babri Masjid, praising the violence that unfolded in the name of Hindu nationalism. Sandeep further stoked hatred by calling for the “liberation” of Kashi and Mathura, locations of significant religious and cultural importance. He perpetuated the conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” accusing Muslims of a deliberate attempt to convert Hindu women. The speech culminated with him urging his followers to “beat up mullahs and maulvis, beat up a pastor, but don’t you dare touch our saints.”

In February 13, 2024, Sandeep, in his role as HRS spokesperson for Karnataka, continued his violent speech by claiming that “jihadis” were plotting to turn India into an “Islamic state.” At a rally, he propagated the baseless conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and “land jihad,” and urged a boycott of halal food. Further inciting violence, Sandeep called for Hindus to arm themselves with both religious texts and weapons, suggesting that physical force was necessary to protect Hinduism. In an alarming call to action, he led the attendees in taking an oath for the establishment of a “Hindu Rashtra” — a vision of India as a Hindu-only state, excluding minorities.

At the Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan (conference) in Udupi in January 2024, Sandeep directly incited violence and hatred, using blatant lies to stir up anger. He referenced propaganda movie The Kashmir Files to push a narrative that glorified violence against Muslims, calling for retribution and promoting hate against an entire community. He falsely claimed that over 400,000 Kashmiri Pandits were displaced, using this lie as a justification for further hostility and violence against Muslims..

Sandeep’s speech at the conference also included attacks on Christianity, accusing Christian missionaries of forcibly converting Hindus to Christianity, and labeled these activities as “illegal” without any evidence to support the claim. He made calls for Hindus to remain vigilant, turning religious tensions into justifications for vigilante action. He also promoted the idea that India could only be a true “Hindu Rashtra” if forced conversions were halted and Hindu Dharma was upheld above all else.

In December 23, 2024 in Shimoga, Karnataka, at another Hindurashtra Adhiveshan, Sandeep falsely claimed that Muslims had chanted “Pakistan Zindabad” inside the Indian Parliament, fueling distrust and fear against Muslims. Sandeep also accused elected officials of treason, targeting them based on their religious identity. Using coded language, he incited his followers to view Muslims as “enemies” of the state, thus escalating communal tensions in Karnataka.
