Ranjit Savarkar, grandson of Hindutva icon VD Savarkar, has become a regular presence at far-right Hindu events, where he promotes Islamophobic conspiracies and calls for economic and social boycotts of Muslims. At the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s All India Hindu Rashtra Convention in Panaji, Goa, on June 18, 2023, he urged Hindus to stop trading with Muslims and warned about so-called “mini Pakistans” in Goa, language designed to vilify and isolate Muslim communities.

A year later, in June 2024, he again called Muslims unpatriotic and claimed they were waging “Halal Jihad” and “Spit Jihad,” using fabricated terms to incite fear and hostility.

On February 14, 2024, in Mumbai, at the Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj Amrit-Mahotsav Samman Sohla event, Savarkar shared the stage with Suresh Chavhanke and other far-right leaders, where they indulged in open dog-whistling against Muslims.

His speeches consistently accuse Muslims of threatening India’s economy and culture. On May 19, 2025, in Farmagudi, South Goa, he claimed that 10 crore Muslims from Bangladesh had been settled in India, an unverified and incendiary figure meant to provoke anger. He warned Hindus that Muslims were taking control of the economy and urged a shift to an exclusively “Hindu-to-Hindu” economy, pushing for communal segregation in trade and commerce.

Across every platform, Ranjit Savarkar uses his family legacy to cloak hate in the language of patriotism, fueling division while standing on the shoulders of a violent and exclusionary vision of India.
