Rajni Thakural, president of the women’s wing of the Rashtriya Bajrang Dal and associated with AHP-Ojaswini, has built a public image rooted in communal hatred and aggressive Hindutva mobilization. At multiple events across northern India, she has repeatedly delivered speeches laced with Islamophobic and anti-Christian remarks, openly promoting violence and social division.

On February 27 in Varanasi, at an event organised by Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad-Rashtriya Bajrang Dal to honor her, Thakural declared that her group is training young Hindu boys and girls to fight Muslims. She used communal slurs on stage and justified the use of weapons, telling the crowd that Hindu youth must be ready to shed blood and kill if Muslim men allegedly trap Hindu women in so-called “love jihad.” Her words were not just hate-filled but a direct call to armed militancy under the guise of protecting Hindu daughters.

On April 27 in Bikaner, Rajasthan, at the inauguration of a Hanuman Chalisa Kendra, Thakural pushed a series of false claims about Muslim and Christian communities. She vilified Islam, distorted religious practices, and claimed Muslim women have no rights or agency, deliberately stoking fears and misinformation to drive a wedge between communities.

Earlier, on May 23 in Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh, she used the stage at a Ram Katha event to promote weekly Hanuman Chalisa gatherings by declaring that such practices would prevent Muslim men from eloping with Hindu girls and stop religious conversions. Her message was not spiritual, it was a calculated attack on religious minorities, cloaked in cultural revivalism.

Across states and events, Rajni Thakural has consistently used religion as a weapon, casting Muslims and Christians as threats to Hindu families and youth.
