Bharat Singh Walia is a body builder from Chandigarh but resides in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He projects himself as a “Brahmin warrior,” a caste-indicative term that he explains as meaning “intelligent like a Brahmin and brave like a kshatriya or warriors.” He is also known for his hate speech and casteist comments, claiming that Hindus are under threat, that Hinduism is fragile and vulnerable and even blames the 2022 exodus of Hindus from Kashmir on “others,” implying Muslims.

“Say proudly that we are Hindus, the center of this holy land,” Walia says, promoting the idea of a Hindu nation. In one of his videos, he swings an axe and threatens, “Don’t mess with someone who has the brains of a Brahmin and the power of a Kshatriya,” adding that he will “fill your days with pain… and you will spend the future in darkness,” implying violence against Muslims.

He also uses Hindutva songs as the background to his videos with lyrics such as “I am here to awaken Hindus, we will say Jai Sri Ram till the end, we have swords and tridents, and our enemy is mistaken if he thinks we are weak.”

In one video, Walia explains that he shed his “secularism” and turned into a “Hindutva warrior” as he was allegedly attacked by people from different castes and claims that it has become difficult for him to move around in India, specifically in Kerala where he alleges “genocides” are taking place. He ends the video inciting Hindus saying, “I am against maximum Muslims.”

In his social media posts, Walia regularly promotes vegetarianism and a sanatani lifestyle, which is a Hindu code of conduct. His videos on garner several views as he has over 100,000 followers.
