Ashok Paliwal is a Hindu extremist leader associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Hindu Jagran Manch in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. He is known for regularly engaging in hate speech against minorities and promoting the establishment of a “Hindu Rashtra” (Hindu nation).

In July 2024, Paliwal led a hate-filled campaign against supporters of Palestine, describing them as “anti-nationals” and inciting a Hindu group to attack and kill them. Paliwal and other members of Hindu right-wing outfits brandished Israeli flags in response. They also accused those bearing Palestine flags during a Muslim festival, of supporting the “Hamas terrorist” group, the Palestinian group which is resisting the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

Although, police officials initially declined to file a case stating that “Palestine is a friendly state and it can’t be termed as a crime,” later reports show that they gave in to the demands of the Hindutva outfits after protests, arresting Muslim youths.

Paliwal’s social media posts aggressively promote a BJP-led propaganda campaign for an “Akhand Bharat” (undivided greater India) and a “Hindu Rashtra” as well as clips of anti-Muslim hate speeches.
