Ankur Singh

Affiliation: Independent
Vocation/Title: Founder, Political Kida
Categories: Hate Mongers
Location: Uttar Pradesh

Ankur Singh, the man behind the social media handle ‘Political Kida,’ is a staunch Hindutva propagandist who uses his considerable online following to amplify pro-BJP hate, misinformation, and divisive conspiracies.

With over 150,000 followers on his personal Twitter account and more than 240,000 on ‘Political Kida,’ Singh wields significant influence to push communal agendas.

Singh has been repeatedly called out for sharing fake news and communal content. In 2020, during the Delhi farmer protests, his handle circulated a clipped video of a police baton charge to falsely claim that the police did not harm an elderly farmer. The propaganda, which was picked up and promoted by BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya, aimed to discredit the protests while shielding police actions. Singh’s ‘Political Kida’ has also actively participated in labeling protesting farmers as ‘Khalistanis’ to malign their movement.

A consistent promoter of hate conspiracies, Singh uses his platform to amplify inflammatory claims like ‘love jihad’ and ‘vote jihad.’ On January 7, 2020, his handle shared a manipulated narrative targeting SFI activist Soori Krishnan, accusing him of faking his injuries during the JNU violence. This misinformation gained traction among Hindutva supporters.

In 2024, Singh baselessly accused the Samajwadi Party of campaigning for “Muslims to do Vote Jihad,” a post that garnered significant views but no evidence or context.

Singh has also actively glorified Narendra Modi, furthering a personality cult around the Prime Minister. At an event in 2024, Singh posted a selfie while eagerly awaiting Modi’s speech, captioning it, “Waiting for the three magical words ‘Narendra Damodardas Modi.’” His social media accounts function as a relentless machinery to stoke communal tensions, glorify BJP leaders, and perpetuate a climate of division.
