Amit Dutta, a Hindu nationalist based in Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, used a Ram Navami bike rally on April 6 to deliver an openly communal and threatening speech. Addressing a crowd, Dutta referred to Muslims as “children of jihadis” and “children of Pakistan,” invoking decades-old communal tropes aimed at dehumanising and isolating the Muslim community.
He went further, declaring that it would take only “two seconds” to “clear” Medinipur of Muslims and claimed they would turn the entire district saffron in minutes.
In a barely veiled warning to the police, Dutta urged law enforcement to remain neutral—implying that any resistance to their aggression would not be tolerated. His speech was not just inflammatory but inciteful, openly calling for communal mobilisation and cleansing.
