Pramod Kumar Mall is an officer in charge of Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Hindu Yuva Vahini (HYV), a Hindu vigilante organization run by Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of UP and Hindutva hardliner. Mall regularly makes inflammatory statements about minorities, claiming they are anti-national.

Mall claims that “many” Muslims in the country are working against Indian interests and allegedly destroying the system. “Just as President Trump has found so many, in India you will find so many,” he claimed in March 2017. However, he also insists that minorities have nothing to fear, stating, “This country belongs to them…[As long as] they feel they are citizens of this country and feel they should respect the national religion – just as Hinduism has accepted many religions.”

Mall is also an ardent Yogi Adityanath supporter and claims the HYV is still functional as of October 2021, despite its office being abandoned and its leader becoming the Chief Minister of UP. he believes Yogi Adityanath is the natural successor to Modi.

“He is the best man after the retirement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sit in that chair,” stated Mall in March 2022.
