Ravi Chanakya

Affiliation: Narendra Modi Vichar Manch
Vocation/Title: National President
Categories: Hate Mongers
Location: Delhi

Ravi Chanakya is the founder and national president of the Narendra Modi Vichar Manch, a Hindutva outfit known for pushing divisive and anti-Muslim ideas. On May 13, 2024, during an event held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Chanakya promoted the conspiracy theory of “love jihad” and claimed—without evidence—that the sisters of men who die in road accidents are mostly its victims.

His speech was filled with communal fearmongering, where he openly said that since 2014, the Muslim population in India has increased while the Hindu population has gone down, calling it shameful for Hindus. He claimed this decline was visible not just nationally but even in states like Assam, Nagaland, and Mizoram. He also made bizarre references to “mobile jihad,” further fueling anti-Muslim hatred without basis.

Another speaker at the same event, Swadesh Nand Giri, made similarly extreme claims, falsely stating that all education ministers in India since Independence have been Muslims and accusing them of shaping school curriculums to highlight Mughal history. He called for turning India into a “Hindu Rashtra,” renaming roads named after Muslim rulers, and demolishing mazars in Delhi, calling them illegal.
