Pandit Mohit Ramji Pathak, who calls himself a “National Devotional Narrator” on Facebook with a following of 94,000, has emerged as a prominent voice in promoting Hindutva ideology, often through inflammatory speeches targeting Muslims. His sermons and public appearances frequently invoke communal division and advocate for a Hindu Rashtra.

In March 2024, while addressing a gathering, Pathak declared that Hindus and Muslims could never coexist, stating that those who consume beef cannot be friends with those who revere cows. He further alleged that Hindus are unable to celebrate festivals like Ram Navami, Holi, and Diwali safely, pointing to fabricated incidents such as Muslims “playing Holi with blood” during riots in Nagpur following the release of the movie Chhava

On December 6, 2024, in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, members of Hindu nationalist organizations, led by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), vandalized mazars within a government school compound, accusing them of being illegally constructed. Pandit Pathak not only supported this act but went further, stepping on one of the mazars while invoking conspiracies of “land jihad” and “love jihad,” terms often used to spread Islamophobia.

Just two days earlier, on December 4, 2024, Pathak spoke at a meeting organized by the Sakal Hindu Samaj in Ashta, Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, addressing alleged atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh. In his speech, he warned Hindus of an imminent danger, claiming that plans for “Ghazwa-e-Hind” were underway. He urged his audience to act swiftly, asserting that Hindus had only 10 to 15 years to transform India into a Hindu Rashtra. He proclaimed that any opposition to Hinduism would be met with violence, instilling a call to arms among his followers.

Pandit Mohit Ramji Pathak’s messaging and public actions align with a larger ecosystem of Hindutva leaders who perpetuate communal tensions through provocative speeches.
